About Me
Pronouns: She/Her
I am dedicated to partnering with people who want more: more peace, more meaning, more love, more depth, more space, more insight, or more of you're-not-quite-sure-yet.
We might be a great fit if you:
Consider yourself a highly sensitive person (HSP)
Want to work through disordered eating or body image issues using a Health at Every Size (HAES) and Intuitive Eating approach
Are an early career therapist, social worker, or other helping professional wanting to build out a sustainable professional foundation for yourself and avoid or heal burnout
Know you benefit from working with a therapist operating from an anti-oppressive lens
Want EMDR delivered in the context of a long-term therapeutic relationship
Suffer from chronic pain and are interested in pain management using mind/body work
My approach & background:
I'm a firm believer in the large body of research supporting the power of relationships, including between client and therapist, to help rewire the brain toward emotional well-being and relational fulfillment. I work jointly with clients to create a safe and engaging space to explore, learn, heal, and change, and incorporate techniques from a variety of trauma-informed and evidence-based theoretical perspectives, including psychodynamic work, attachment and interpersonal neurobiology, and EMDR. Given the deep connections between body and mind, I also utilize my training as a yoga teacher to build upon the many benefits of traditional talk therapy.
Prior to launching into private practice, I worked within the Austin community beginning in 2009, including in inpatient and outpatient psychiatric clinics, schools, nonprofits, and medical settings with people of all ages facing mental and physical health challenges and socioeconomic barriers to success.
